The 16th annual “Dog Days of Summer” event will continue thanks to the cooperation of the Knights of Columbus. Libertyville is set to host the “Dock Dogs Regional Finals,” where spectators can watch 100 nationally ranked jumping dogs compete. These dogs will run down a 40-foot dock and leap into a 27,000-gallon pool of water for longest distance in the middle of Church Street.

In addition to the three-day dog jumping competition, there will be various doggie-oriented events and over 30 vendors in Cook Park throughout the weekend. The event is scheduled from July 11th through the 13th.

“Dog Days of Summer” is presented by The Village of Libertyville and hosted by the local Knights of Columbus. Proceeds after expenses will be donated to local organizations that assist those in need.
