Lincolnshire’s effective property tax rate exceeds US average by over 3 times in Q4 2025

Lincolnshire homeowners paid property taxes equating to 2.9% of their home values in the fourth quarter of 2025, more than 3.3 times above the nationwide average, figures from BlockShopper.com show.

During the fourth quarter of 2025, 14 properties sold in Lincolnshire, resulting in a median sales price of $565,000. The city’s median tax bill for 2025 was $16,396, which is equivalent to 2.9% of the median home value subject to taxation.

The U.S. average effective property tax rate stood at 0.888% in 2024.

Within Lake County, the communities of Round Lake Park, Wadsworth, and Forest Lake held the highest rates for effective property tax.
