Madison School principal Katie Zulauf recognized for leadership during appreciation month

During Principal Appreciation Month, Madison School recognized Principal Katie Zulauf for her leadership since her appointment on May 5, 2025. Zulauf joined Madison School with a background in literacy and social-emotional learning, having previously served as Assistant Principal at Brentwood School and Principal at Rupley Elementary School in Elk Grove Village, District 59.

Zulauf recently organized a centennial celebration at Madison School, working closely with teachers, staff, PTO leaders, and community stakeholders to honor the school’s history. The event highlighted her commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.

A statement from the District 181 administration said, “On behalf of the entire District 181 administration, thank you, Principal Zulauf, for your dedication to fostering an enriching and supportive learning environment at Madison School.”

Madison Elementary School is part of Hinsdale Community Consolidated School District 181, which includes several schools in DuPage and Cook counties such as Clarendon Hills Middle School, Elm Elementary School, Hinsdale Middle School, Monroe Elementary School, Oak Elementary School, Prospect Elementary School, The Lane Elementary School, and Walker School.
