District 64 has announced that Marty Hopkins will take on the role of Interim Assistant Principal at Roosevelt School for the 2025-26 academic year. Hopkins, a retired school administrator, previously served as an interim building administrator at Emerson Middle School. His experience and dedication to District 64 are expected to be valuable assets in his new position.

Hopkins is succeeding Jackie Peters, who has moved to another school district closer to her home. Roosevelt Principal Dr. Kevin Dwyer commented on the decision: “An interim assistant principal provides the best path forward for both the near and long term future at Roosevelt. In the spring, we will be hiring both a new principal and assistant principal at Roosevelt for the 26-27 school year. During this time, I will be working at the district office and be available to provide support with the transition.”
