Last week, more than 200 students from Collinsville High School were accepted to college during the school’s annual On-Site Admission Day. The event allowed students to meet with representatives from ten universities, who reviewed their high school records and offered on-site admission. Students applying at the event did not have to pay application fees.
The participating universities in 2025 included Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Eastern Illinois University, Western Illinois University, University of Memphis, McKendree University, Murray State University, University of Missouri St. Louis, Missouri State University, and Southeast Missouri State University.
The On-Site Admission Day was coordinated by Collinsville High School counselor Jason Corey with support from the CHS Counseling Department. “Application fees are waived for students who apply during On-Site Admissions Day,” said an event spokesperson.
Collinsville High School is part of Collinsville Community Unit School District 10. The district covers Madison and St. Clair counties and includes several elementary schools as well as a middle school and intermediate school.
