Oberlin Yeomen take 5-4 win over Asbury Eagles in Division III baseball, Ruttkay shines

Former Glenbrook North High School standout Matthew Ruttkay contributed as the Oberlin Yeomen scored a 5-4 victory over the Asbury Eagles in their NCAA Division III baseball contest on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3:30 p.m.

Held at Cecil Zweifel Field, this marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. The Yeomen previously beat the Eagles 6-5 earlier that Saturday.

Ruttkay pitched six innings, giving up one earned run while tallying two walks and six strikeouts.

The Yeomen are set to play their next game Wednesday, March 4, at 3:30 p.m. at Nobby’s Ballpark against Case Western Reserve Spartans.
