Public Works Maintenance Superintendent Bryan Beitzel was recognized on Mar. 23 as the recipient of the Samuel A. Greely Award for Dedicated Public Service by the American Public Works Association Chicago Metro Chapter.

The award highlights Beitzel’s long-standing commitment to public service and his efforts within the Public Works Department since joining in 1993.

Beitzel has played a key role in improving department operations, leading sustainability initiatives, implementing new technology, and overhauling the Village’s Snow and Ice Plan. The department noted that he is always willing to engage with community members and is dedicated to educating residents about public works activities.

“Congratulations to Public Works Maintenance Superintendent Bryan Beitzel, who was recognized as the recipient of the Samuel A. Greely Award for Dedicated Public Service by the American Public Works Association (APWA) Chicago Metro Chapter!” said a statement from the department.

Beitzel’s recognition reflects ongoing efforts by local officials to strengthen relationships between public works staff and residents through education and outreach.
