The Recreation Center of Highland Park, a key facility within the Park District of Highland Park for nearly two decades, has announced a name change. It will now be known as Park Fitness. This rebranding reflects the center’s commitment to physical health and community engagement.

“Park Fitness is so much more than a name change,” said Jodi DiTomasso, the long-time Fitness Manager. “It represents a new era in our commitment to the health and well-being of the community.”

Located near The Preserve and Park Avenue West, Park Fitness offers a 5,850 square foot Fitness Floor with an array of equipment including treadmills, elliptical trainers, cross trainers, rowing machines, stair climbers, arc trainers, upright and recumbent bikes. There are also strength and resistance equipment options along with free weights.

In addition to individual workouts, the center offers group exercise programs held in various studios including a full gymnasium and pool area. Classes range from yoga to high-intensity interval training. Outdoor classes are also available.

Jodi DiTomasso emphasized flexibility and variety in fitness routines: “Flexibility and variety are key to creating a routine you’ll stay with as you get healthier and stronger.”

Visitors can expect friendly assistance from team members regarding memberships and program registrations at Park Fitness. The facility encourages socialization alongside healthy activities.
