Construction on the Robert McClory Bike Path is set to commence on July 21. The City of Lake Forest will be working on the section between Westleigh Road and Old Elm Road, widening and resurfacing it. This project is expected to take about three weeks.

During this period, a detour will be available through the subdivision west of the path. Signage will guide residents and visitors safely around the construction area.

In addition, the Lake County Department of Transportation (LCDOT) is conducting concrete patching south of Old Elm Road. It remains uncertain if these projects will coincide, and no detour will be provided for this section.

“Thank you for your patience and cooperation as these improvements are made to enhance the trail experience for all.”
