A section of Slocum Lake Road will be closed from November 12 to November 26 as part of the Bangs Lake Outfall Improvement Project. The closure affects the stretch between Old Country Way and the northbound on-ramp to US Route 12. Crews will use this period to install sheet piling, which is intended to stabilize the shores along the Bangs Lake outfall creek.

Further details about the project are available on the Village website at https://www.wauconda-il.gov/news_detail_T5_R192.php.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete this necessary project!”

A detour route map has been provided by officials for affected drivers.
