The Waukegan Judiciary Committee approved plat maps and site plans for a new Hampton Inn and Suite at its Nov 2. meeting.
The new hotel will be located on Lakehurst Rd.
The committee approved a zoning map change for North Shore Management Group's property at 422 Washington St. from Office Institutional to Central Service. The committee also granted a special use permit for a drive-thru facility at the same address.
The committee extended its moratorium on development along River Road and voted 4-1 to approve a 130 ft. cell phone tower at 1045 S. Lewis Ave. Alderman Larry TenPas was the lone objector.
