Mettawa to hold special meeting Saturday

Mettawa

To address plans for a new Village Hall, the Mettawa mayor and Board of Trustees will meet 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hilton Garden Inn, 26225 N. Riverwoods Blvd.

Expected to be in attendance are Mayor Casey Urlacher and Trustees Bill Armstrong, Jan Pink, Mary Brennan, Pamela Sheldon, John Maier and Tim Towne. Bob Irvin serves as village administrator.

Following the call to order and roll call, the Public Works Committee will participate in a discussion and consideration of a motion to authorize completion of plans and specifications for building a new Village Hall, including provisions for announcing a public bidding period. Adjournment will follow.

Currently, Mettawa lacks a dedicated Village Hall; village meetings are generally held in a local hotel.
