The city of Highland Park’s Committee of the Whole plans to meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday to hear a report on Senior and Youth Services at City Hall, 1707 St. Johns Ave.

The Senior and Youth services report is slated for 6:50 p.m. for any residents interested in attending. The public is advised that prior to that time, the Committee of the Whole is scheduled to meet in closed session before addressing scheduled business.

The Senior Center, founded in 1976, is operated by Highland Park's Division of Senior Services. The center is open year-round Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to provide health, recreational, cultural, educational and counseling services to the city’s senior population.

Highland Park’s Division of Youth Services, as it is now known, was originally created in 1973 under the name of Highland Park Youth Committee. Thanks to continued support of Highland Park’s City Council, both the community and local youth continue to flourish.

The Division of Youth Services is located at the Firehouse, a renovated Highland Park fire station at 1830 Green Bay Road, just east of Sunset Park.

Additionally, the committee will approve minutes from its previous meeting held Feb. 8.
