Gurnee Planning and Zoning Board considers movie theater's sign request

At a recent meeting, the Gurnee Planning and Zoning Board considered Marcus Cinema's request to add a sixth wall sign, as the original special-use permit only allows five.

The Planning and Zoning Board makes recommendations related to the application and enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance, as well as issues concerning long-term land use, development proposals, special-use permits, variation requests and the zoning of property in Gurnee.

4. Minor Sign Exception: Marcus Cinema (6144 Grand Avenue)

Marcus Cinema, located at 6144 Grand Avenue, is requesting a minor sign exception to allow the installation of a sixth (6th) wall sign, one more than allowed via the Special Use Permit issued as Ordinance No. 2004- 98.
