The Grayslake Community Park District's youth basketball league will start on Sunday, Oct. 23, and Sunday, Nov. 6, with evaluations.
According to glpd.com, the leagues, which are for area girls and boys in grades 2-8, will have one-hour practice sessions during the week and games on Saturdays. Interested participants must attend one of the two evaluation sessions.
The evaluations at the Grayslake Park District Rec Center Gym are: boys, grades 2-3, 11 a.m.; boys grade four, 11:30 a.m.; girls grades 3-4, noon; girls grades 5-6, 12:30 p.m.; and girls grades 7-8, 1 p.m. Evaluations at the Grayslake Central High School Fieldhouse are: boys grades 5-6, noon and boys grades 7-8, 1 p.m. Participants need to bring the required paperwork, which is available at glpd.com.
Cost is $150 per participant through Oct. 22. After that, fees are $180. Registration is done at the rec center, 240 Commerce Drive. Grayslake Central High School is at 400 N. Lake St.
