The village of Barrington recently announced the hiring of a communications and events manager.
The village noted that an article appearing on Dec. 30 in the Daily Herald intimated that the process had not yet begun, but the village has in fact been going through the process since November.
Interviews began the last week of November.
The village recently extended an offer to one of the applicants. The candidate has accepted the offer and will be introduced shortly.
