The Mundelein Police Department is inviting senior citizens to a 10-week police academy beginning on Sept. 13 at the station, at 221 North Lake Street, according to a press release.
The academy offers Mundelein residents and those who work in the village and are 55 years of age of older insight into the procedures and demands of the job of Mundelein police officer. Policies, laws and guidelines will also be discussed.
Classes will meet at 10 a.m. every Wednesday through Nov. 15.
