Village of Volo Board of Trustees met September 5.

Public Comment – Agenda Items

1. Approval of Minutes:  Regular Meeting of August 15, 2017

2. Approval:  Accounts Payable – September 5, 2017

3. Proclamation:  Rail Safety Week

The Village Board will consider proclaiming September 24 – 30, 2017 as Rail Safety Week in the Village of Volo.

4. Authorization to Execute:  Intergovernmental Cooperation Contract (IMLRMA)

The Village Board will consider approving an updated Intergovernmental Cooperation Contract (ICC) with the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association (IMLRMA).  The Village obtains its insurance coverages through IMLRMA, a risk management pool compromised of participating municipalities.  The ICC governs the operation of the pool and it is updated periodically to reflect changes in the pool operation.  

5. Authorization to Execute:  Engagement Letter – D.A. Davidson & Co. (SSA #17)

The Village Board will consider engaging D.A. Davidson & Co. as the underwriter for the bonds for Special Service Area #17.

6. Referral to Planning & Zoning Commission:    Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment Establishing Regulations for Alternative Energy Systems

The Village Board will consider referring a Zoning Ordinance text amendment establishing regulations for alternative energy systems (wind, solar, and geothermal) to the Planning & Zoning Commission.   Following the referral, no permits or approvals for alternative energy systems would be issued until the regulations are adopted.
