The calls in Long Grove included 51 fires - 39 structure fires, five vehicle fires and six other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $434,600 in fire loss - or about $8,522 per fire.
The department also received 234 false calls.
Two fire service member were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Long Grove Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 13 active employees and three retired or inactive employees, was $55,516 positive as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $1,089 for every fire in 2016.
