Report: Woodland spent $13,091 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Woodland Community Consolidated School District 50 is up 33 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $9,810 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,091 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 6508 to 5702.

Woodland's spending in 2016-17 was 1 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
