CITY OF HIGHWOOD: Fire and Emergency Medical Service Response Transferred to the City of Highland Park

Healthevent

City of Highwood issued the following announcement on June 14.

Fire and Emergency Medical Service response were transferred from the City of Highwood to the City of Highland Park at 8:00 AM on June 14, 2016.

This transfer of service and the closure of the Highwood Fire Station was approved by Highwood voters in a March 15th referendum.

We would like to thank residents, staff and our partner Highland Park for working to ensure a smooth transition.

Residents, businesses, and visitors in need of service will continue to dial 911 and the appropriate response will be dispatched through the Highland Park Fire Department. Non-emergency calls can be directed to the department at 847-433-3110.
