Village of Mundelein issued the following announcement on July 13.
The Village of Mundelein proudly congratulates Samari’s Sweet Creations bakery on the grand opening of their stand-alone bakery located at 1500 S. Lake Street. For the past two years, Samari’s Sweet Creations has operated out of rented space inside Mundelein’s own Taste of Paris restaurant. Now the brother and sister team of Julio and Alma, invite residents to the grand opening of their custom bakery storefront. Residents are invited to the celebration on Sunday, July 15 from Noon to 4 p.m. The actual Ribbon Cutting will take place at Noon. There will be a FREE sample of Samari’s delicious cake plus plenty of pastries/sweets and signature cakes for sale.
In just two years, Samari’s Sweet Creations has earned the reputation of a “made from scratch” bakery creating all varieties of sweets for any occasion. Owners Julio and Alma have utilized Facebook, a superior product, and excellent customer service to successfully launch their business.
As noted on Samari’s Sweet Creations Facebook page, the owners explain, “It started out as a hobby and it turned into this!! For those of you who recently heard about us, we started baking from home for family and friends!! Our business kept growing and growing so we ended up renting space inside Taste of Paris French Restaurant in Mundelein, just so we could keep Samari’s going. It’s been an amazing journey and we’re ready to take it further!! We now have our own store front and it’s a dream come true!” Thank you to everyone who has been supporting us since the very beginning!! We’re ready to see where this new chapter takes us.”
