FREMONT SCHOOL DISTRICT 79: Announces Administrative Appointments

Fremont School District 79 issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.

Fremont School District 79 Superintendent Dr. Bill Robertson has announced a series of administrative appointments in time for the start of the 2018-19 school year.

Dr. Brian Bullis is the Assistant Superintendent of Learning. He earned his doctor of education degree in administration and supervision from Loyola University Chicago. He also earned his master’s degree in educational administration and bachelor’s degree in history from The University of Iowa. Most recently, Dr. Bullis served as a middle school Principal for Deerfield School District 109. As Assistant Superintendent of Learning, some key responsibilities include overseeing: curriculum and instruction, schools, building principals, directors, instructional technology, and professional development to best facilitate and implement the District’s Strategic Plan in order to prepare students for the future. Dr. Bullis is a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet.

Dr. Pam Motsenbocker is the Director of Human Resources and Administrative Services. She earned her doctor of education degree from Concordia University Chicago. She also earned her master’s degree in educational administration and supervision from Northern Illinois University and bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana University. Dr. Motsenbocker has served as the Principal of Fremont Middle School for the past 15 years. As the Director of Human Resources and Administrative Services, some key responsibilities include overseeing: employee relations; mandated training; performance management; onboarding of new employees; overseeing and collaborating with administrators on new teacher orientation, mentoring, coaching, and evaluation; recruitment; employment law compliance; implementation of policies and administrative procedures; overall compliance; and other services to support the District. Dr. Motsenbocker is a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet.

Nick Brilowski is the Director of Public Relations. He earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Mr. Brilowski has served as the Associate Director of Athletic Communications for Northwestern University for the past 11 years. As the Director of Public Relations, some key responsibilities will include: increasing public awareness of issues, initiatives, and trends with respect to the District, as well as raising public and employee awareness of events, programs, services, and goals of the District. In addition, the Director is responsible for maintaining the website and social media, as well as recommending appropriate communications strategies to the Superintendent. Mr. Brilowski is a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet.

Krista Winkelman is the Fremont Middle School Principal. She earned her master’s degree in educational administration and master’s degree in elementary education from Northern Illinois University. Ms. Winkelman also earned her bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Most recently, she served as the Associate Principal at Fremont Middle School. As the Principal, her main priority will be instructional leadership.

Cathy Park is the K-5 Associate Principal. She earned her master’s degree in educational leadership from Concordia University Chicago and master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from National Louis University. Ms. Park also earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She currently is working on her doctorate degree in educational leadership at Concordia University Chicago. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Principal at Fremont Elementary School. As the Associate Principal, her main priority will be instructional leadership.

Traci Strieter is the Fremont Intermediate School Assistant Principal. She earned her master’s degree in educational leadership and master’s degree in elementary education from National Louis University. Ms. Strieter also earned her bachelor’s degree in workforce education and development from Southern Illinois University. She has served as a Special Education Instructional Teacher at Woodland CUSD 50.

Shannon Heckman is the Fremont Middle School Assistant Principal. She earned her master’s degree in educational leadership from Aurora University and her master’s degree in teaching from National Louis University. Ms. Heckman also earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Columbia College of Missouri. Most recently, she served as a middle school Instructional Coach in Crystal Lake School District 47.

Audrey Dzhurov is the Fremont Elementary School Assistant Principal. She earned her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the American College of Education and her master’s degree in school leadership from Concordia University Chicago. Ms. Dzhurov also earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Trinity International University. She has served as a middle school Social Studies and ELA Teacher at Hawthorn School District 73.
