Mundelein Elementary School District 75 students suspended 82 times in a single school year

Mundelein Elementary School District 75 reported 82 suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 82 students during the year. That equates to 4.9 percent of the 1,667 students enrolled.

Of the 66 in-school suspensions, 50 were given to boys and 16 were given to girls, all of whom were elementary or middle schoolers.

The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 66 incidents. For 62 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.

Of the 16 out-of-school suspensions, all of whom were elementary or middle schoolers.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 16 incidents. For six incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
