Community High School District 117 issued the following announcement on Sept. 13.
Five Lakes seniors have received recognition in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program for their impressive performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) that was taken in the fall of 2017. From the approximately 1.6 million program entrants, our four students are among the 50,000 highest-scoring participants.
Ravinder Singh, Megan Fish, Seth Thomason are Commended Students in the 2018 National MeritScholarship Program. Commended Students placed among the top five percent of all student taking the PSAT/NMSQT.
Rachel Assaf and Anna Gundlach were named to the list of Semifinalists, and they will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for a National Merit Scholarship.
