Oak Grove School District 68 issued the following announcement on Oct. 31.
Oak Grove is excited to share our new "District Dashboard" with you. As stated in the Oak Grove News, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) created a template for all school districts to share information with their communities. Some of the data is drawn straight from the School Report Card and the other information was compiled by the District. I'd like to thank Ms. Julie Waehner, our Student Services Director, for creating the District Dashboard. She spent many hours collecting the information and formatting the document.
You will see that we have much to be proud of at Oak Grove! Our students are performing at the highest level, statewide. They are active in many extracurricular activities. They are involved in nearly every facet of school life. As parents and guardians you should be very proud of them.
The District Dashboard is a "living" document. We will be updating it on a regular basis. There are instructions on the cover page on how to access the information. I would like to point out one item. Under the Strategy tab, we have shared our newly formed strategic plan. It was adopted by the Board of Education last spring, after many months of work. Unfortunately, the template supplied by the ISBE does not yet let us populate our progress for the strategic plan. So, you will see "0's," please know the District is doing the work it planned!
