Fredric Bryan Lesser led Democrat Bob Morgan in votes cast in Shields Township for the District 58 state House race, according to the latest vote count.
Lesser appeared to outpace Morgan by a margin of 12.8 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Mark Neerhof, won by a margin of 30.4 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Scott Drury, who received 2,399 votes to Neerhof's 4,487.
