Tom Weber led Democrat Trisha Zubert in votes cast in Wauconda Township for the District 64 state House race, according to the latest vote count.
Weber appeared to outpace Zubert by a margin of 3.6 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Barbara Wheeler, won by a margin of 32.18 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Joel Mains, who received 428 votes to Wheeler's 834.
