Q2 real estate sales report: Lake Forest

Median prices declined in Lake Forest over last year, and are down 7 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to second quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From April to June, 98 homes sold in Lake Forest for a median price of $815,750. That's 6.2 percent lower than median home sale prices for the second quarter of 2017.

In the second quarter, 4 homes in Lake Forest were in foreclosure.

Median property tax for homeowners in Lake Forest was $14,618.29 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 1.7 percent of their home's value in taxes.
