The Lake Forest College basketball program has signed on to support the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches as players in the 2019 Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point Challenge.
According to the school's website, for every 3-point shot made by a Forrester men’s or women’s basketball player from Jan. 19 to Feb. 16, every Lake Forest fan is asked to make a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
Fans can also make contributions online in the name of either team.
The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a national event that unites coaches, fans, athletes and communities across the country to aid in the battle against cancer.
The Lake Forest men’s team returns to action on Dec. 28, competing in the Desert Invitational in Phoenix, Arizona, while the women will resume play in a Midwest Conference tilt at Beloit College on Jan. 2.
