Woodland Community Consolidated School District 50 recently issued the following announcement.
Gages Lake – The popular glow-in-the dark theme returns Thursday, January 31 as Woodland School District 50’s Primary School hosts P.B.I.S. (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Family Night from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the school, 17366 West Gages Lake Road.
Primary’s "Light Up the Night and Do What’s Right” event is open to all Primary students and their families. The evening’s activities will focus on making positive choices and building positive relationships at school. Families will participate in a variety of activities that teach turn taking, collaborative skills, and other positive behaviors.
Each family attending will receive a variety of coupons from local businesses such as Chili’s Restaurant and Rainforest Café. Participants will also receive a door prize entry ticket for a chance to win prizes such as a “super fun pack” (soccer ball, stuffed animal, keychain, and jump rope), 1-hour jump passes to Jump America, and various gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses. Students are encouraged to wear their “Light Up the Night” t-shirt if they purchased one in advance or neon/bright colors. Glow in the dark accessories are encouraged, but not required
