Report: Lake Forest spent $18,820 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Lake Forest School District 67 is up 14.9 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $16,383 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $18,820 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1932 to 1695.

Lake Forest's spending in 2017-18 was 41.1 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
