Zion home prices rise in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Zion rose by $8,250 while total sales increased by 175%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were 33 homes sold, with a median sale price of $97,000 - a 9.3% increase over the $88,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Zion in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Zion for 2017 was $4,986.58. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,628.70. This marks an increase of 7.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 5.1%.
