Zion home prices fall in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Zion fell by $7,250 while total sales increased by 34.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were 70 homes sold, with a median sale price of $82,250 - a 8.1% decrease over the $89,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 52 homes sold in Zion in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Zion for 2017 was $4,986.58. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,628.70. This marks an increase of 7.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 6.1%.
