Hawthorn Woods home prices fall in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Hawthorn Woods fell by $15,646 while total sales increased by 27.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 55 homes sold, with a median sale price of $506,354 - a 3% decrease over the $522,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 43 homes sold in Hawthorn Woods in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Hawthorn Woods for 2017 was $12,052.75. In 2016, the median sales tax was $11,850.90. This marks an increase of 1.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.4%.
