Illinois State House District 53 issued the following announcement on July 24
I'd like to congratulate area District 214 on their "District of Distinction" award. District Administration magazine chose 214 for their July recognitions because of 214's Youth Apprenticeship program. This program provides to students concrete job skills and training in fields like cybersecurity, HVAC and automotive services.
Access to opportunities like those in 214's program are an important avenue for our students to prepare for future work life and I'm proud to support apprenticeship and career and technical education programs here in the Northwest Suburbs and around the state. Congratulations again to District 214!
