Illinois State House District 61 issued the following announcement on July 30
State Rep. Joyce Mason, D-Gurnee, met with members of her Environmental Advisory Council at her district office in Gurnee on Monday.
“I am continually impressed at the level of knowledge and experience demonstrated by the residents on this council. I’m learning new information at every meeting from a remarkable group of local residents concerned about protecting our natural resources,” said Mason. “We have started discussing ideas for new legislation to address some serious issues facing our community and benefit both our local economy and our environment.”
Mason’s Environmental Advisory Council is composed of community members from Gurnee, Zion, Winthrop Harbor and Lindenhurst.
