Illinois State House District 60 recently issued the following announcement.
Today, State Representative Rita Mayfield announced that she is joining with Waukegan 6th Ward Alderman Keith Turner and Waukegan Township Assessor Mark Stricklin to hold a property tax workshop for district residents.
"I have consistently worked with my colleagues in Springfield to take the tax burdern off of working families and will continue to do so," said Mayfield. "This property tax workshop is a way here at home to help residents of our community find additional ways to save."
The workshop will be held at Waukegan City Hall, 100N MLK Drive on Saturday October 5th from 11am to 1pm. The event will include in depth discussion about how the property tax system functions, how your home is assessed and what savings programs are available to you.
