Illinois State House District 59 issued the following announcement on Feb. 19
State Rep. Daniel Didech, D-Buffalo Grove, released the following statement following Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s Budget Address:
“Although it is clear we face some challenges ahead, the governor’s budget proposal serves as an important next step as we work to make the tough decisions necessary to continue moving Illinois forward.
“In order to face these challenges head on, we must ensure that our financial resources are being handled with the utmost integrity and honesty. I will continue to put in the work to ensure a brighter and stronger future for Illinois by advocating for reproductive rights, protecting our environment, addressing dangerous loopholes in our gun laws, fighting for property tax relief and fostering a government that lives within its means.”
“I am under no illusion that addressing these issues will be easy, but we have the opportunity to get back on track and move towards an equitable Illinois that works for everyone. I look forward to working with my colleagues to push for a stronger Illinois.”
