Illinois State House District 59 issued the following announcement on June 5
Today I was in Rockford to stand in solidarity with State Representative Maurice West and the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus. Together we will continue the fight against racism and build a better world for all. We must change laws that are failing our communities and making too many people feel unsafe in their own neighborhoods. I support their call for a special session to address these urgent issues.
