LAKE BLUFF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT 65: Return to Learn Parent Survey

Surveyaa

Lake Bluff Elementary School District 65 issued the following announcement on June 26.

Given the recent guidance that we have received from the Illinois State Board of Education in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Health, our goal is to bring back as many students as possible to in-person instruction in the Fall of 2020. Student and staff safety and wellness are of utmost concern as we navigate returning to school. We realize that our community may not all feel comfortable coming back for a variety of reasons. Some may include medical reasons, some may have to do with the requirements for public schools instituting in-person instruction which are outlined below:

  • All students and staff will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) inside our buildings at all times.
  • No more than 50 individuals will be allowed to gather in one space (including our busses)
  • Physical distancing will be observed to the greatest extent possible
  • We will be requiring self-certification of staff and parents (of their children) that they are free of symptoms before entering our school buildings
These requirements will greatly impact how school will be conducted in the fall. The impacts will range from logistical to instructional and require much preparation, communication and practice to ensure that we are all adequately prepared for the changes that we will be facing when we return to learning.

Our administrative team and Return to Learn Task Force have been discussing the remote learning survey data from the spring term in order to improve and enhance those structures for the eventuality of remote learning in the 2020-2021 school year which may arise from families choosing to keep their children home, or students and staff needing to be home due to illness or self-quarantine.

In order to support our continued planning for the fall we are asking you to take a few moments to complete this brief survey.  The survey is open through Friday, July 2.

We appreciate your patience and partnership as we work to ensure the smoothest, safest and most effective return to school as possible for our community.
