Lake Bluff Elementary School District 65 issued the following announcement on July 10.
The Lake Bluff Elementary 65 School Board of Education takes its role as elected officials very seriously. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will, once again, be holding our Board of Education meeting virtually. This is being done to ensure, first and foremost, that all members of the Board, District 65, and community are practicing social distancing and abiding by rules about social gatherings, but while also allowing for District business to continue.
While the stay-at-home order has been lifted, current restrictions on group size remain and so Governor Pritzker has enacted a series of Executive Orders to allow for virtual meetings consistent with the Illinois Open Meetings Act. As a result, the District 65 leadership has worked with the Board President to hold the Tuesday, July 21, 2020 meeting virtually. No members of the D65 Board or Office of the Superintendent will gather in the Village of Lake Bluff Boardroom for the meeting. Instead, Board and Administrative participants will participate through video conferencing software.
The video live stream of the open session beginning at 7:00 p.m. will be available by clicking here.
Public Comment
If you would like to address the Board through public comment, please complete the Public Comment Form prior to the meeting being called to order.
Any submissions we receive will be read aloud at the start of the meeting during Public Comment as long as they comply with Board Policy 2:230 - Public Participation at Board of Education Meetings and Petitions to the Board. Submissions will also be posted on the District’s Board meeting minutes so that members of the general public are able to view them.
We appreciate the public's patience and understanding as we work together to safeguard the health of our community and continue to run School District 65.
