Cost of college went up for all students at Lake Forest College

Tuition and fees rose 3.3 percent for 2018-19 at Lake Forest College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $47,064 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,516 more than the $45,548 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 356 students received grants or scholarships totaling $11.1 million and 298 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,512), 1,459 students used grants or scholarships totaling $45.9 million, and 1,136 students took out $8.5 million in federal student loans.
