Illinois State House District 57 issued the following announcement on Aug. 28
It's likely that many of you have heard about the national shortage of blood and plasma in our hospitals and blood banks. That's why State Senator Julie Morrison and I have decided to partner with Versiti and the Prospect Heights Fire Protection District to host a blood drive in our district.
The event will be held on September 15th between 2-4 pm at the Prospect Heights Fire Protection building at 10 E. Camp McDonald Rd. in Prospect Heights, IL. Thanks to Prospect Heights Fire Chief Drew Smith and everyone at the station for lending us the space.
Accommodations for safe donations and social distancing are being made, and Versiti is offering to conduct the COVID-19 antibody test on the donated blood as well. We ask that you do not attend if you recently tested positive, or are showing symptoms of the virus in order to ensure that everyone remains safe.
Appointments are not necessary, but will help reduce the wait. You can sign up for an appointment using this link. https://donate.illinois.versiti.org/…/drive_schedule/5587875
Please call my office, or email my Chief of Staff Mike if you have any questions. 847.229.5499 & MA@RepCarroll.com. Hope to see you there!
