ILLINOIS STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 59: Recycle-O-Rama on October 3

Illinois State House District 59 recently issued the following announcement.

Event Name: Recycle-O-Rama

Date: Saturday, October 3, 2020 

Time: at 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM CDT

Location: Hawthorn Mall

Address: 122 Hawthorn Center, Vernon Hills, IL 60061

Details

Recycle-O-Rama will be held at Hawthorn Mall in the former Sears parking lot.

Recyclables must be in your trunk and labeled “recycle”. Please do not exit your vehicle; volunteers will unload your items. Volunteers will wear masks and gloves at all times.

Approved recyclable items are: CRT monitors, laptops, CD/DVD players, cell phones, televisions, printers, computer towers, small appliances, eyeglasses, and hearing aids.

Items that can be reused and recycled are new, gently worn, and used shoes (please pair shoes and tie laces), clothing, textiles, and stuffed/plush animals. Visit www.swalco.org for a full list.

Paper shredding is also offered; limit two boxes per vehicle, until the truck is filled to capacity.

Recycle-O-Rama is a partnership between the Vernon Hills Park District, SWALCO, Village of Vernon Hills, Hawthorn Mall, Advanced Disposal, ComEd, Vernon Township, and Illinois State Representative Daniel Didech.
