GRANT COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT 124: April Student of the Month ~ Seager Johnson

Grant Community High School District 124 recently issued the following announcement.

The Grant Community High School April Student of the Month is senior Seager Johnson, son of Lisa Morelli-Johnson and Mark Johnson of Ingleside.

Seager's academic achievements include induction into the National Honor Society during his sophomore year, he has completed four Advanced Placement courses and is enrolled in another four AP courses this year.  He holds a remarkable 4.8/4.0 GPA.

He was chosen for the Boys’ State Leadership Conference and has been the recipient of the Bulldog Pride Award for the second time!

His extracurricular activities include participation in Marching Band, Pep Band, Pit Orchestra, Spanish Club, and Tennis.  He has been involved in Teen Court and served as a Front Office Aide. Seager has volunteered for service to his community through NHS, Feed My Starving Children, Bulldog Boosters Concession Stand, and assists his peers as a Spanish Lab Tutor.

In addition to all of his activities, Seager works at Grass Roots Energy in Building and Grounds Management.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing instruments, painting, woodworking, being outdoors, and raising chickens.

His plans for the future include earning a double major in Spanish and Education and a minor in Portuguese.  He will be attending Purdue University.  His career goal is to return to Grant to teach Spanish or to teach English in a Spanish-speaking country.
