Life satisfaction study co-authored by Batz-Barbarich is published

A paper co-authored by Assistant Professor of Business Cassondra Batz-Barbarich was recently published in the Journal of Happiness Studies.

“A Meta-Analysis of Religion/Spirituality and Life Satisfaction” presents the largest meta-analysis of religion and spirituality and life satisfaction to date. In all, seven authors, including Batz-Barbarich, collaborated on the research paper.

“I am proud of this work,” Batz-Barbarich said. “It was a substantial undertaking that comes at a time when society is grappling with questions regarding the role that religious involvement and spiritually plays in our lives and the impact it has on our well-being. Despite this debate, our results indicate that religious involvement and spirituality are significantly and positively associated with life satisfaction.”

The Journal of Happiness Studies is an international, peer-reviewed publication that is devoted to theoretical and applied advancements in all areas of well-being research.
