Participants in the Lake Bluff Independence Day Parade made political statements about Hunter Biden and what they see as government micromanagement of the types of equipment citizens can own and operate.

One parade participant pushed a lawn mower with a sign featuring an often shared photo from Hunter Biden’s laptop in which President Joe Biden’s son is smoking a cigarette perched in front of a MacBook.

“Spotted at the Lake Bluff Independence Day Parade,” Shields Township Republicans posted on Facebook.

Another pair of participants in the parade held a sign reading “No More Gas Blower Ban!”

The Village of Lake Bluff banned gas-powered leaf blowers from May 15 to Sept. 30 prompting the participants to adopt a sign pushing for the ordinance to be repealed.

Through Hunter, Joe Biden is alleged by an FBI whistleblower to have taken a $5 million bribe from Ukraine, according to the New York Post. A Ukrainian businessman, who allegedly paid off then-Vice President Biden and his son Hunter Biden, claimed to possess 15 audio recordings of phone calls with Hunter and two with Joe Biden. These recordings were purportedly kept as "insurance" in case the businessman encountered difficulties. The FBI's handling of the bribery allegation against the Bidens has been criticized by Republican lawmakers and conservative media, suggesting a lack of focus compared to how the FBI investigated former President Donald Trump.

The Hunter Biden saga took a turn last week when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) revealed a set of still shots reportedly from a sex tape Hunter Biden made with a prostitute. Greene caused chaos by displaying images from Hunter Biden's laptop of him naked, alleging they were evidence of federal law violations.

“So when Hunter Biden paid for this woman to do this with him, to travel across state lines from California to Washington, D.C., on June 15, this is a violation of the Mann Act. This was prostitution,” she said, holding up naked photos of Hunter Biden, the Daily Beast reported.

Democrats deemed her actions inappropriate, while Greene defended her behavior, claiming it as evidence the American people deserved to see and accusing the Department of Justice of protecting Hunter Biden.

Critics accuse the Department of Justice of protecting Hunter Biden after receiving a deal from prosecutors regarding tax evasion and gun charges. IRS agent Joseph Ziegler, a self-described Democrat, stepped forward as a whistleblower alleging a cover-up in the investigation of President Biden's son. Ziegler and supervisory agent Gary Shapley testified at a House Oversight Committee hearing, alleging slow-walking investigative steps, blocking efforts to interview Biden family members, and opposition from Biden-appointed U.S. attorneys regarding charging Hunter Biden with tax crimes.

Ziegler said regardless of party affiliation he felt the need to do what was right by becoming a whistleblower.

“I hope I am an example to other LGBTQ people out there who are questioning whether to do the right thing at the potential cost to themselves and others. We should always do the right thing no matter how painful the process might be,” Ziegler said, according to the New York Post. “I kind of equate this to the feelings and experiences I encountered when coming out. It was honestly one of the hardest things I ever had to go through… but I did what is right and I’m sitting before you today.”
