Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH) will update the Highland Park Housing Commission on its work in the city over the past quarter, highlighting rehabilitation, sales, and inclusionary housing. The update was part of CPAH's quarterly report that accompanied its $21,875 draw-down request to cover the period from July 1 through Sept. 30, according to a letter from CPAH President Rob Anthony attached to the Highland Park Housing Commission's Nov. 1 agenda.

According to the letter, rehabilitation was finished on a 3BR/2BA single-family home at 1269 Cavell Ave., and the home was sold on Aug. 15. The buyer was a single mother who was living in Evanston, Illinois. She has worked for Northshore University Health System hospitals in Highland Park, Evanston, and Glenbrook for the past 18 years. She has an adult son who also lives in Highland Park.

CPAH is also working on rehabilitating a 4BR/2BA single-family home at 930, which is expected to be completed and sold by mid-December. The home is intended for a Highland Park family who currently rents and qualifies for the home.

In addition, CPAH is waiting for building permits to rehabilitate a home at 1464 Lincoln Place.

CPAH's work in Highland Park aims to provide affordable housing options for residents in the area. The organization's efforts in rehabilitation and sales of homes contribute to the goal of creating inclusive and affordable housing opportunities in the community.
