Podcast host Joe Weiss said he wants all levels of government across the country to discuss investing in school choice.
“I think it's a crying shame that people like Julie Morrison and Bob Morgan and all of the people down in Springfield let the invest in kids act die in veto session down there,” Weiss said to co-host Pete Jansons on the Lake Forest podcast. “That was the one time Bruce Rauner and Mike Madigan actually agreed on anything in the four years that Rauner was governor, was the invest in kids act.”
“They let this thing die because they're more interested in catering to the Chicago Teachers Union which is writing all the checks now for everybody that got the mayor of Chicago elected,” Weiss said. “But school choice is something that I think both on the state level and on the national level we need to have a bigger conversation about.”
